It’s almost Spring, and Summer is on its way which means it’s time to go to the beach!
Luckily, the shuttle service to and from Savannah to Tybee Island is back just in time for the season.
As of Monday, the Coastal Regional Commission is providing a route for anyone needing a ride to the island throughout the summer season.
For $10 a ride, the shuttle will run from Monday through Saturday three times a day at 8 a.m., 1 p.m., and 6 p.m.
Pick up in Savannah will be at the Visitor’s Center on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
On Tybee Island, the shuttle will go by two locations. It will stop at North Beach by the lighthouse and downtown by the pier at the Tyrbisa/Strand roundabout.
The shuttle service is a great way to head to the beach without the hassle of driving there and having to worry about parking on the island.
Not only will it benefit visitors and residents of downtown Savannah, but it will also free up parking for residents of Tybee Island.
So hop on a shuttle and be sure to plan ahead for all of your beach trips this summer!
